Welcome! I hope you will enjoy looking through my collection of watercolor and acrylic paintings.
My inspiration comes from my surroundings; in particular the woodlands and waterways of Central and Upstate New York and Coastal Delaware. I love working with color. I am not concerned with capturing the true color of an object for that will change with light, darkness or atmosphere, but with using color to convey depth and form and emotion.
My exhibits have included solo shows at SUNY Oswego Tyler Art Gallery Downtown, The Sackets Harbor Arts Center, Delavan Art Gallery, the Adirondack Centers for the Arts in Blue Mountain Lake and Old Forge, the Community Arts Council Gallery in Utica and several locations in Syracuse and surrounding areas.
I hold memberships in the following art organizations: Rehoboth Art League in Rehoboth Beach DE, Mispillion Art League in MIlford DE, and the Central New York and Holly (Dover, DE) Branches of the National League of American Pen Women. I serve on the Board for the National League of American Pen Women and I am a Signature Member of the Delaware Watercolor Society.
My recent move to the coastal town of Lewes, Delaware has provided new inspiration. Its quaint architecture and scenic beaches beg to be painted. I am currently serving as the National Art Chair for the National League of American Pen Women. Be sure to view my Announcements for the current schedule of shows, classes and events.
